Wallflower Solutions - Mazda Dealer Customer Information Kiosk
Powerd by scalability and flexibility....
|
Graphic Café are recognized as one of New Zealand’s leading graphic design houses providing point of sale material for many blue chip clients.
One of these is Mazda New Zealand. Graphic Café with one of their associated companies designed and built a number of kiosks to be installed in Mazda dealerships throughout New Zealand.
The Challenge.
The challenge was to find a way to allow quick and easy updating of content managed from Graphic Café’s Head Office at as low a cost as possible. Dealers needed to be able to instantly relocate Dynamic Digital Signage kiosks in showrooms as display layouts changed. The cost of traditional networking was an obstacle taking into account the relatively infrequent need to change content.
The Solution.
Wallflower includes a unique USB key updating capability. This proved to be an ideal solution for Mazda.
The USB key updater utilises the latest USB key technology that allows keys to store and run applications. Each Dynamic Digital Signage kiosk is delivered with its own USB key.
When changes to content are required the revised Schedules and content are published to an ftp site automatically using Wallflower Dynamic Digital Signage Software. An email is automatically sent out to relevant dealerships advising that an update is required. At each dealership staff plug the USB key into any Internet connected PC and enter login details. The key is then updated with no further manual intervention. It is then plugged into the Dynamic Digital Signage kiosk that updates itself. At the same time a history of visitor interaction is copied onto the key and this is then automatically transferred to Head Office the next time the key is plugged into and Internet connected PC.
A similar approach has also been employed by Graphic Café for G J Gardner Homes in their nationwide show home network. Visit www.thegraphiccafe.com for more information about Graphic Café.
